Look More Beautiful Instantly

We've all heard the sayings, "Beauty is pain," "You need your beauty sleep," and "It takes time to look this good!" Of course there is truth to all of them, but there are things you can do to instantly look more beautiful. Some of them don't even cost a dime. Here a few tips to look more beautiful without spending money or time.

Naturally, most of us want to look slimmer. You can easily take off five or ten pounds instantly - but just standing up straight. When we're tired or overworked, we don't realize how much our posture suffers and we begin to slump. Just look in the mirror, stand up straight with your shoulders back and your head high and watch those pounds just disappear. Your waist will look trimmer and you'll look taller and slimmer. This will help burn more calories in the long run, which will actually help you BE slimmer, so check your posture a few times a day to make sure your making the most of it. If you want to instantly "lose" a couple more pounds, just put on a pair of heels to make you look taller and slimmer and add a belt to cinch in your waistline. You will feel more beautiful and feel better about yourself, too.

Add a little bronzer to your cheeks. Sweep a little bit of bronzer, just a shade darker than your natural skin tone, just under your cheek bones. You'll look a bit tanner, and your cheek bones will look higher and bigger, making your face thinner. You'll instantly look more beautiful. Just remember to blend well and use a light touch and a big, fluffy brush. Need a little bit of cleavage? Dust some bronzer in between the "girls" to create the look of more depth, shadow, and vavoom. Instantly!

Brush your lips. Yup, that's right. Your lips. When you brush your teeth in the morning, take a second to brush your lips. Your toothbrush will gently exfoliate your lips and make them look healthier and prettier. Wipe your lips clean, and then dab on just a dot of clear gloss in the center of your lips to make them look and seem fuller and more beautiful. You can try this with or without lipstick, depending on your personal preference. Don't have lip gloss? A dot of Vaseline or lipbalm will probably do the trick just as well.

Blot out shine. If an oily face has got you in the dumps, don't despair. Grab some beauty blotting papers, or in a pinch, a tissue or paper towel. Gently blot away the oil, but don't rub or you will smear your makeup. Thin, cheap paper towels are next best thing to blotting paper, but any kind of tissue will do as well.

Moisturize those hands. Our hands are the most obvious indicators of our age. And dry, cracked hands look the most wrinkled and aged. A moisturizer without alcohol is best, but you can use any kind of hand cream, face moisturizer, or even lip balm in a pinch. Moisturized hands will instantly look more beautiful, and you can rub some moisturizer on your fingernails to make them look shiny and healthy, too.

Step into the light - sunlight, that is. Florescent lights have a greenish cast to them, making anyone underneath look a little bit pasty, sick, and greenish. Sunlight is the most flattering lighting of all. If you want to see yourself in the most beautiful light, just step outside and into the sun. Your skin tone, hair color, and even your clothes will look prettier and more flattering.

Last, and best of all, smile! Nothing makes you look better than a happy smile. Smiling also causes your body to release endorphins which make you happier, even if your smile is fake. "Fake it till you make it" is certainly true in the case of smiling. Smile when you're unhappy will make you feel happier. And nothing lights up the room like a beautiful, happy smile.
