Looking for Article Ideas for Associated Content?

Sarah Holmes
By asking your friends what questions they are seeking answers for, you can get some great article starters!

If you are having difficulty writing an article for Associated Content, because you can't come up with an idea, here are some questions I have which I would love someone to write about:

1) I would like to know about writing news stories for Associated Content. For all of the News Story buffs who write for Associated Content, please tell me how do I write breaking news content and yet prevent plagarizing? Anyone know something about copyright law and etiquette concerning news stories?

2) Have you ever distributed phone books? What is the best way to distribute phone books on a phone book route? How much money can you make distributing phone books? How do you choose the best neighborhoods?

3) Do you know anything about banding birds? I know someone who saved some baby birds from the clutches of a crow. She is raising these birds and will be releasing them into the wild. How do you band birds?

4) Do you have any adult slumber party ideas? How do you have an adult "slumber" party? What games do you play? I would like ideas for a fun filled non-alcholic evening. Do married adults or any adults for that matter come to a slumber party? Or am I too old to think it would still be fun?

5) How to make Tapioca Pudding? I noticed there was a video but not a good recipe on the Associated Content website. If you know how, I would like your advice.

6) How to make a Lemon Merangue Pie that turns out. It is hard to make the eggs form the whipped topping. If you have any suggestions, I would love to read an article by you.

7) How do you get published in your first magazine? What tips do you have to share.

8) How do you write an article proposal? I wrote an article proposal to a magazine and they thought it was an article. They sent it back for not enough content. How big do I need to type "Article Proposal" that they might understand?

9) I recently joined MySpace. I would love some tips. I especially want to know how to change the background in Myspace. Can you help?

10) I would love to read recipes of Chai Tea. I am a Chai Tea connesuir and I would love to read about your favorite Chai Tea recipes. What tea recipe is the best? What is your favorite? Do you have a recipe your friends rave about? Please tell!

These are great article starters and if you write an article about one of these topics, please post a comment here with the link. Thank-you!

This is really creative. I sometimes wake up with absolutely no idea about what to write for AC and then before long I have five or six articles submitted. Inspiration hits me throughout the day or after I have been somewhere or experienced something new.

Regarding #8: At some point in your query, you have to ask if they would like an article of so many words on the subject. You may have overlooked making that request. Also, if the article you are querying for is short, your query should probably be shorter and more concise than usual.
