Looking Forward to Part 2--House Season Finale

Part 1 was Excellent, but Part 2 is Supposed to Top All of the Episodes Off

It's all in House's head. No... Literally, it's all in House's head, and we have seen this type of drama elsewhere. I suppose you can call these hallucinations "dream sequences," but Part 1 of the season finale of House definitely played out well due to these sequences. Sometimes shows overdo it a bit with dream sequences, but not here, House was in an accident and he is simply trying to figure out what the main problem is, or problems, however you want to look at it.

House receives a lap dance in a strip club, but he looks all banged up and confused. He doesn't know why he is there, and it's quite clear that he has a head injury. House believes that someone is going to die, and he must urgently get to them. As House walks out of the strip club, he sees a crazy accident scene, with a bus on its side. House realizes that he was on that bus, but he cannot remember the person who needs him.

Back at the hospital, the bus driver has all kinds of problems; he can't move his legs; he can't stand up without his stomach burning in excrutiating pain, etc. But House knows that there is something more because there is a mysterious woman that continues to show up in his hallucinations. While this mystery woman gives House clues everytime they are together in his hallucinations, everyone back at the hospital thinks House is going crazy, and Wilson orders an MRI of House's head. As the test is going on, House and Wilson discuss Amber, Wilson's girlfriend. Now this is where Part 1 gets interesting...

While House goes from reality to hallucination, he gets as much out of each visit as possible. During one of the hallucinations, Cuddy dances around the bus pole as her and House discuss the possible ilnesses that the bus driver may have. When Parkinson's disease comes up, House's mystery woman reappears and tells House that she is the answer. House can't get a word in before he is dragged back into reality. House is helped out of the water by his team as he pukes all over Cuddy. House passes out.

When House wakes up, he is back in his apartment on Cuddy's orders. There is a nurse at House's bedside and a security guard to make sure he doesn't leave. Back at the hospital, the team adds some more diagnosis including jaundice, low albumin, and liver failure. House calls the hospital to ask how they eliminated Parkinson's, so Taub tells him that TPP fits all of the symptoms. House orders the team to run "the bagel test," where the patient must jog on a treadmill while eating bagels, quite simple... The nurse grabs the phone from House.

House needs to be able to get in touch with the hospital, after all, this is his case, isn't it? Or it is his department, so either way, he needs to be involved. Being as clever as House is, he swipes the nurses's cell phone and sneaks into the bathroom to calls Kutner. House tells Kutner that TPP is the diagnosis even though the driver passed out. House returns to the hospital...

As the bus driver gets intubated, the team look for a clot in his lungs caused from a pulmonary embolism. But this doesn't phase House at all as he notices new teeth caps. As the team leaves the patient's room, House shuts the door and wedges his cane into the door frame. While the team is wondering what House is doing while Thirteen is with him, House orders Thirteen to stick a needle into the driver's chest. As the team tries to get Thirteen to stop, she disagrees with the team and goes on and performs the procedure. As the team opens the door, the syringe goes into the driver's chest, and it's an air bubble, House is right. What else is new?

At night, back at House's apartment, Cuddy stays with him because he can't stay alone, and he must have gotten annoyed with the nurse, or she couldn't stay late, either one. House falls asleep and dreams about the mystery woman, who is sleeping in the same spot that Cuddy is sleeping in. As she shows House her necklace, she tries to nudge him into guessing what the problem is. House is still befuddled... She tells House that she is cold, and to stay with her. House then wakes up and tells Cuddy that he saved the wrong person, even though the bus driver's air bubble was caused by the crash, he has been worried about someone else... Someone more important.

House reenacts the bus accident with 31 stand ins...

On the bus, House pops some Alzheimer's Disease meds to speed up his brain function. As House hallucinates once more, the mystery woman shows up and asks House to name the material of her necklace. The material being amber gives House his answer. He now realizes who the mystery woman is, it's Amber.

The mystery woman is replaced by Amber in an actual memory of the bus crash. A few seconds later, Amber's side of the bus is hit hard as she goes flying. As the bus rolls and spins uncontrollably, an injured House tries to save an injured Amber. Amber has a broken piece of metal lodged into her leg. House wraps Amber's red scarf as a tourniquet, as Amber tells House that she is cold, and to stay with her. House then walks away from the accident scene towards the strip club.

Back in reality, House is unconscious as Cuddy continues giving CPR to him. His heart has stopped due to the overdosage of the Alzheimer's Medication. House tells the entire crew that the mystery passenger on the bus is Amber. Wilson hasn't heard from her lately, but assumed that she was on call. Thirteen describes a patient at another hospital who's physical description matches that of Ambers. She is dying...

This leads to Part 2, which can be seen on Monday, May 19th, 2008. This will certainly be one of the best season finales of House yet, and it will obviously focus on Amber, but something happens to House as we see in the previews. Only time will tell, so tune in and find out!
