One of the best seafood restaurants in all of New York is called Riverbay, located at Willis Avenue in NY. Riverbay is a family restaurant that is moderately priced and elegant in nature.

Service: The waitress that I had serving my table was very charming and a delight to have. She was an older aged woman slightly past her fifties and her grizzled veteran experience made her all the better a hostess. She knew every single dish on the menu and what ingredients were used in each dish. She also recommended to us her favorite dishes which she described in depth which helped us decide what to order. The bus boys are also very good about bringing you more water or bread when needed.

The restaurant has very well prepared food, as evidenced by their special side dish called purple potatoes which come from Peru. The soft inside stuffed with butter and sour cream make it very tasty and out of the ordinary for customers to enjoy. It is these types of special and unique dishes which makes Riverbay restaurant so enjoyable. In fact, most of these side dishes come with the entrée so that is doesn't cost you anything extra.

Pricing: Remarkably, the prices of the meals for each person are very reasonable. Including drinks and your main course with a side dish, the per person cost with tax and tip usually won't be more than $25.

Ambiance: As previously stated, RiverBay has a great ambiance, quite fitting of a sea food restaurant located just off the river. The walls are wooden and look like the inside of a ship cabin. There is also sea paintings hung on the wall. Ambiance is even filtered down to soda beverages as the coca-cola soft drink is served in a small 12 ounce glass bottle that customers pour themselves into a glass with ice. The waiters and waitresses are also dressed very professionally in tuxedos with black bow ties.

Food: The food is delicious and the sea food is every bit as good as advertised. Since Riverbay is located right near the river, the fish is fresh everyday and tastes fresh as well. The best seafood dishes that I have tried in my past visits to the restaurant include salmon, tilapia, cod, swordfish, lobster and trout.

There are of course a multitude of seafood restaurants in New York but RiverBay is one of the best deals that you will come across. For a very affordable price, a family of four or five can enjoy a night out while being charmed by waiters and tasting great food.
