Looking for Hope?

Then the Hope Church is the Place for You

Londa B.
Oh greatness! Finally, a place of worship that does not have a dress code, millions of rules and regulations, a confusing chain of command....just to speak with your own pastor, or super long services!!!! I mean don't get me wrong, you can't put a timer on worshiping the Lord, BUT....some services I've been to last from sun up to the crack of dusk. It all starts out with praise and worship, but by the days end, the flame has died out and the focus has shifted onto something else. I thought it was all about honoring The Lord, singing praises unto his name and serving the community in which the church stands! Don't take this editorial personal, for this is simply my view and my feelings on my past and current visit to many Church's.

On with the good news! The Hope Church really showed me and my family what Church is all about. I was very pleased to see that many different cultures were all united in the same house to doing the same thing...PRAISING THE LORD! It was a very beautiful site. Once the service started... all souls united in praise and worship!!! I could feel the presence of the Lord in the air. The music provided by the Worship Team was awesome! All the instruments were in full use to the glory of God. It was an ultimate experience that will lift you higher and give your soul the strength you need on your daily walk with Christ. I really was ignited to take my "faith walk" to the next level! My children were really into the music and the service. Great for them because it was not boring. The Hope Church offers a church going experience that is friendly to all people, and all ages. What was also nice was no oral church announcements, and no "All visitors please stand!" moment. You know I've been to that point where I wanted to check a certain church out and I simply did not like it when they asked all visitors to stand. Even if you did not stand, you had to look like you belonged to the church by looking around at all the other guest! LOL!

Pastor Greg Bruce was phenomenal in delivering his message, "Got Junk?" The message was geared towards cleaning out the junk in ones own life. Great message to end the year on. Heck, I went home and started a cleaning frenzy! I cleaned out my cell phone, my basement, and my whole house! By the time I was done the only things left were my husband and the kids. My husband simply stated, "You are not throwing us out. Go sit down woman." It was so funny we all just started laughing. This just proves that Pastor Bruce has the power (through Christ) to stir your soul. He is truly a man that is driven by the desire and passion to serve his Lord until his last day. I see it in the way he dresses and the way that his pulpit is set up also. One man on stage speaking to his members in a casual form of dress. Nothing flashy, very simplistic style, edged by his sharpness and tactful way in which he delivers his messages. This man is truly driven by the power of God, not by worldly riches you see so many T.V. evangelist portray. Pastor Bruce simply believes in the word! Denomination is not questioned at the Hope Church! It's all about Christ and making an impact on the community and anyone else that comes to this magnificent house of worship.

The Hope Church is different in set up. The Portico (a cozy cafe and gift shop) offers not only bottled beverages, and vibrant cups of Joe or creamy latte drinks, but you can also purchase T-shirts, music or sermons on Cd's, and books from the gift section. Some of the sales go to the T2B (Time to Build) church building fund. Also in this area are informative packets on the types of ministries offered at the Hope Church. The main seating area has plush pews, but those quickly fill and the folding chairs are brought out! The Church has THREE services to keep up with the demands of the faithful followers. Each service is FULL TO CAPACITY!!! The Hope Church has a position for all of its members. Several ministries and operations are in motion at the hope church. They also have very dedicated associates to the pastor, that help with prayer, mentoring and counseling for all types of social and spiritual issues. I was very pleased in the way in which my calls were responded to and the sincerity that flowed through the lines while in conversation. Once I studied what the Hope Church built their foundation on...I was ready to join. You tell me if these beliefs are not good enough for you and your family.
