Looking for Love in All the Right Places

Relationship, some of us fear the word, some of us long for the word and some of us think it's meaning is complete bs. Everyone pictures the ideal for them weather it be the dating, marriage then a dog and a picket white fence and 2.5 children, or the bachelor life with a care free sexually apt lifestyle, or something completely different.

How do you meet Mr. or Mrs. right? Well according to your grandmother it's probably at Church but nowadays there are so many options to choose from, dating sites that our parents look at us and say what the hell are thinking don't you know you could meet a serial killer that way? Well HELLO who's not to say the guy living next door who you have seen at church isn't exactly a role model could be one too. Clubs and bars well your defiantly more than likely able to find a great or not so great piece of tail there but I wouldn't count on meeting up with Mr. Man of your future there.

How about that coffee shop rumor? Well maybe I guess but from prior experience I would say my gay friend Johnny has a better chance at the coffee shop than me. Have you tried meeting up with that hot guy on Myspace? Or maybe that guy who swears he knows you from junior high on Facebook? I know some people think the internet dating scene is a bad thing but I honestly met some of my now ex's on there and some of my very closest friends as well. Now E- Harmony and some of the others charge you to join well why should I pay to meet someone in my own area you say? Well have you met them yet? Do you have any clue where they live and what they love? No obviously not so maybe it's worth the fee?

I'm part of an online community for nerds. It's a "dating" site but I find it more of a site to meet some cool people into the same thing I am. It's called Otaku Booty and it's a great place if you're into such things. However if dating sites still scare you I might suggest local events, such as festivals, conventions and parades. Whatever you decide if your looking for someone special or just wants to meet some new friends go get it! Don't just sit back and wait for it to come to you!
