Looking for a Sofa for a Small Space? Sectionals Should Not Be Overlooked

Sectional Sofas Designed for Small Spaces Provide Stylish, Flexible Seating

Small space sectionals may seem like an oxymoron, but sectional sofas can actually be the perfect choice for small rooms. Searching for sofas for small spaces can be challenging. When you are working with a small living room, rec room, sitting room or basement, finding a couch that is a good fit may seem like a tall order; however, there are many options available that just might be the perfect fit. While some folks immediately opt for a loveseat or small couch because they think that is their only option, you might be surprised at just how much seating you can fit into a small area with just a little bit of planning.

The key to maximizing your space is sectional furniture that is specifically designed with smaller homes and apartments in mind. This would include options like a sectional couch that is designed to offer the same comfort and amount of seating as a full-size model with slightly less length and width, or sectional furniture that offers the option of placing it all together for one large piece, or breaking up the pieces of the sectional to create unique seating arrangements. Because of this, to function well in a small space, sectionals that come in individual pieces are absolutely the best option.

When looking for sectional sofas for small spaces, you should look for options that include a corner section, individual sections with backs and, depending on your preferred look and function, modular ottomans. By choosing this type of sectional sofa, you will have greater flexibility for furniture placement. A great example of this is Home Reserve's sectional sofas for small spaces. The innovative design of each Home Reserve sectional sofa allows you to select just the pieces you need to create the perfect seating arrangement for any room. You can choose sectional sofa pieces with or without arms, ottomans that are designed to extend the seating area and corner pieces that are spacious and comfy. This allows you to design your own small space sectional couch tailored to meet your exact needs. The pieces can be joined together with included hardware or left separate for maximum flexibility.

Another brilliant design feature that makes Home Reserve sectionals ideal for small spaces is the built-in storage in each piece. Every sectional has storage built in under every seat, including the corner piece, armless chairs, end pieces with arms and ottomans. Not only does this add value and function to the sectional, it eliminates the need to have additional storage furniture in the room. When you are furnishing a small space, having this type of multi-functional sectional furniture can make all the difference. When you can easily store DVDs, blankets, board games and books in your sectional sofa, you do not need to have shelves, storage baskets or media cabinets taking up valuable space. This gives you more space to use for seating or to simply keep the room feeling open and uncluttered.

When furnishing small spaces, sectionals should definitely not be overlooked and can add stylish, flexible seating to a room of any size. Choosing a small space sectional that also provides built-in storage will increase that flexibility even more and will allow you to take full advantage of every inch of valuable space.

Sofa storage sounds great to me. Right now, mine is just used to store loose change and pizza crumbs...

Great article... this Home Reserve company sounds like a gem. Who knew a sofa could store a board game? I'm a fan of sectionals in any space because of the flexibility they give you when you want to change the look of a room or if you move to a new place.
