Looking Through Windows 7 with Your Eyes

Microsoft Finally Gets the Operating System Right

DrD
The first thing you see with Windows 7 is the desktop, you're used to Vista or XP, or, even possibly (still) Win 98! You have gotten used to what happens on the desktop with icons, and you are used to using the little bar at the bottom called the task bar. Just about everyone who uses these systems has gotten used to the way that they look and feel, so if Windows 7 really jumped off radical, it would throw a lot of folks off base. So, if you don't own it yet, you can relax, it doesn't change things that you are used to seeing. The second thing you notice is that the picture is very pretty, and as you are used to right clicking on the desktop, you go ahead and do that. Now you are in for a change, but it won't feel like it, and maybe that's the most brilliant part of Windows 7, the stuff under the hood doesn't make it feel like a race car instead of the family car, but it's a race car.

You still get to choose how things will operate, but they operate faster, much of which would seem to be hardware oriented, judging by the types and speeds of processors and RAM (my daughters DELL Inspiron came with 4 GB of RAM!) but here again is where Windows 7 shines; it makes use of the power in these massive hardware components. While many operating systems of the past, and many of the operating systems still coming on, allow certain hardware functionality, Windows 7 embraces the hardware and uses it with real power. It is graceful in it's use of resources, unlike past experiences, as a person who loves Linux, loves open source, and basically isn't a Microsoft fan, you can imagine how it must pain me to admit Windows 7 is what their advertisements claim, and more.

Robert B. a blogger from Ireland has this to say about the fastest selling OS (operating system) ever:"The company said that since the release of Windows 7 on the 22nd October until the 31 December, they company had sold more than 60 million Windows licenses which makes Windows 7 the fastest selling operating system in history!" This indicates that the operating system is popular, and that springs from the essence of usefulness. People who use an operating system and like it, talk about that on the various communication platforms available to them, all of which, Windows 7 is built into compatibility mode with. Harry McCracken, writing for PC World, Oct 19, 2009 had this to say: "It's not a what-if scenario. Windows 7, set to arrive on new PCs and as a shrinkwrapped upgrade on October 22, has a minimalist feel and attempts to fix annoyances old and new. In contrast, Windows Vista offered a flashy new interface, but its poor performance, compatibility gotchas, and lack of compelling features made some folks regret upgrading and others refuse to leave Windows XP." So that the official take is as good as the amateur (myself and other bloggers) would write it because for the first time in many times, Microsoft has done an operating system that people are not only in love with, but it loves us back.

Windows 7 is the newest release for Microsoft in the operating systems field, but rather than being as proprietary as the former releases, Windows 7 is made to be compatible and network together with other systems.
