It is the eyes that hold things
It is the eyes that speak
For it's the eyes that look for
The eyes find, for they seek
Eyes of darkness, subtle sin
Blatant hatred searing
Holding grace & love & light
Bright & clear & peering
If the eyes speak hatred
It's deadly to the core
You cannot look if you cannot see
You'll miss what depth's in store
But if eyes choose to show love
It's seen well before a smile
The clearness is joy & pleasure
Lasting a long blessed while
Color doesn't matter much
Same feelings all can convey
Fear & loathing, love & lust
Yes, the eyes have lots to say
The eyes can be directness
To watch or wait or stare
They look away when frightened
Looking at--they show care
Tear-stained eyes show volumes
Hurt & pain & distrust
Extremely strong paranoia
Makes extreme silence a must
Calm the eyes with gentleness
Happiness reaches them first
A loving look of tender hope
Dispels what seems cursed
Tired eyes need great rest
If they seek out in strong light
So many things make them weary
Other than lack of sleep at night
A touch of rare excitement
A look that sparks connection
Interest shown in eyes that gleam
Guides conversation direction
Symbolic looks flashed quickly
Or a carefully placed stare
So much rests on the gazes
Eyes show how our feelings fare
Alwaze should our eyes look for
Learn to find what they seek
Our eyes must hold all of these things
And with our eyes our heart will speak.
