When L'Oreal first introduced their new nutri gloss range with "pearl protein" I have to admit I was more than a little bit sceptical, pearl protein? I thought it wouldn't work and it would be way too expensive for me to even consider buying.
When I saw it in my local pharmacy priced at only £2.47 per bottle AND on buy one get one free, my curiosity outweighed my scepticism. I bought a bottle of the shampoo and the conditioner.
The claim.
The conditioner claims to have light reflecting booster technology, which they say will give your hair extra shine and lustre, giving it "mirror shine and cashmere touch"
The pearl protein is said to give hair nourishment and nutrition, penetrating deep into the root and repairing it from the inside out, root to tip.
The packaging
It comes in a sturdy, attractive pink bottle that would look good in the bathroom.
The smell.
Many people don't care about how a hair product smells, but I do, you wouldn't want to put something on your hair that absolutely stinks, would you?
It smells very clean, fragrant and fresh with a hint of cherries.
The texture.
It comes out of the bottle fairly quickly so don't squeeze too hard! It is thick, but not so thick that you have to use a lot, it's not too thin either, so you don't feel like you have to use absolutely loads in order for it to have any effect. It glides over the hair easily and doesn't drip, eve if you use quite a lot.
The effect.
From the first time I used it, my hair felt softer and had far fewer tangles, it was less dry and frizzy. There was an immediate effect on the shine of my hair aswell, my hair looked shinier and healthier. After just a few washes, the condition of my hair improved even more, my hair was stronger and more resilient. The anti frizz effects of the conditioner last all day and so does the shine.
