L'Oreal Nail Polish Product Review

Nail polishes are a great, but subtle way to express yourself in any situation. It's one of those accessories that can be changed up to match an outfit or to simply show your personality. It's also one item that you can wear any place, any occasion, any way you want because your nails aren't the first thing that people notices. There aren't usually dress code rules regarding finger nail fashion either. I'm not generally a nail polish kind of girl but I like to keep my toe nails colored so I have an extensive collection of polishes. One brand of nail polish that I have in my collection is L'Oreal.

I have a few shades of L'Oreal's nail polishes but my favorite is Shopping Spree. Shopping Spree is a light, very shimmery pink color. I'm not a pink nail polish type of girl either but the color was tame enough that I was tempted to try it out. I bought my L'Oreal nail polish at Walgreens for around $4 a bottle, but this product is available at other drug stores, Wal-Mart as well as Target stores.

What I like about L'Oreal's nail polish is that it goes on thin and smooth. Often times thin consistency nail polishes tend to streak but this one didn't. It also doesn't clump either. The colors from what I can tell are buildable which means if I want my nail polish to show up darker all I have to do is add a few more coats. I've noticed that L'Oreal's nail polish lasts quite a while. On my toe nails the color will last for several weeks with out chipping or peeling. On my finger nails they don't last as long, probably because they're always doing something and being exposed to all sorts of situations that can cause chipping. The longest I've gone without chipping my finger nail polish with L'Oreal's polishes is a little over a week, and that's with a topcoat.

The only downside to L'Oreal's nail polish is the price and color selection. Like I said, my bottles of L'Oreal nail polish each costs me about $4 but are more at other stores. Four dollars isn't a lot but considering the other nail polish options out there and their prices, $4 is a tad more than others. The color selection is limited to a handful of light colors, a few medium colors and some dark hues. L'Oreal's nail polish doesn't come in a very good range of colors to choose from.

Overall L'Oreal's nail polish is a good product. It's a fairly good quality nail polish because it doesn't chip, streak or peel and can last up to a week with a good topcoat. I don't believe it's quite worth paying $4 or more for when there are nail polishes out there that are just as good and costs less.
