Loretta Lynn and Pneumonia

Julie Wimmer
Loretta Lynn, famous country singer icon, was hospitalized this weekend with pneumonia. The singer had to postpone two concert dates due to her hospitalization. The country singer is 76 years old. Last month she had knee replacement surgery.

The location of the concerts were Ashland, Kentucky and Durham, North Carolina. The Paramount Arts Center in Ashland has stated that the show would be rescheduled.

Most fans know Loretta Lynn's story, especially from the movie made about her life (from her autobiography), "Coalminer's Daugther" starring Sissy Spacek. Lynn grew up in a very poor family, but her singing was her ticket out of that life.

We wish Ms. Lynn the best. Her fans continue to support her.

She is one of my favorites and I pray that she fully recovers. I was hospitalized in 2007 with pneumonia. It is a tough one to conquer, especially when you are working around the clock and in your 70's.
