When looking to check out an inexpensive live show, Sounds of Brazil , (SOBs) is one of the go to locations to catch new and seasoned artist. July 5th, 2011 , SOBs kicked off the "Who's Next?" series that brings buzzworthy artist to the stage. That night doors opened at 7:30 PM with show time slated for 9 PM . However, that Tuesday night the floor was packed an hour before show time to catch artists After The Smoke , Skotch Davis , and Los Angelinos , Casey Veggies , and Dom Kennedy .

Casey Veggies, and Dom Kennedy are relatively young artist, with Veggies just graduating from high school two weeks ago, therefore the crowd consisted of a lot of young men, with a handful of women. The "Who's Next?" series was hosted by radio station HOT 97 , who honored L.A. with a series of West Coast tracks before the opening act, After The Smoke , took the stage. After The Smoke, an alterative R&B/Hip Hop, duo from Florida had the intricate opportunity to perform their songs " One in a Million " and " Typical Weekend ," in front of a crowd that wanted the main acts. The next act, Harlem native, rapper Skotch Davis , took note of the crowd wants and made it clear they needed to stay hyped for Veggies and Kennedy, as he performed his summertime track " July 4th ".

In the past it could be speculated that the East Coast doesn't support West Coast artist, however, that night was not the case as Kennedy's New York fan base came out with love, which made Casey Veggies' first New York performance a sold out event. The energy in the club started high as repeated chants of "swag!" substituted generic hand claps and head nods throughout the L.A. based rappers performance. Veggies and Kennedy will continue to tour to promote their albums Sleeping in Class, and From the Westside, With Love II.

If you missed the show, check out pictures and a clip of the two performers on the stage .
