What are the different beaches in LA? Starting at Long Beach there is Long Beach which is close to CSULB. Long Beach is fair, but it is not the best in safety and cleanliness. Next to Long Beach is Redondo Beach; Redondo Beach is very lovely, clean and has great driving entrance. Redondo Beach is not very crowded like most other beach. If you want minimum people than this is the beach to go to; it is not heavily populated with beach goers as other beaches. Redondo Beach is a good place to go fishing. You can usually fish really big fish, lobsters and crabs here.
Next to Redondo Beach is Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach. Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach are very lovely and clean. Marina Del Rey is also next to these beaches. Marina Del Rey, Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach are very clean and upscale city and beaches. You would have a great time going these beaches. Next to these beaches are Venice Beach, Santa Monica Beach and Malibu Beach.
Venice Beach is located west of downtown LA and is on Venice Blvd. Venice Beach is nice but it's populated with many homeless living in their car in the parking lot. You might not want to go this beach because it's dirty and not safe. The fun thing about Venice Beach that many other beaches don't have is the performers. They can be dancers, singers, magician, and artists. There are also many art works on display for you to buy.
Next to Venice Beach is Santa Monica Beach. Santa Monica Beach is clean and safe. It is heavily populated with tourist. I would recommend tourists going to this beach. Santa Monica Beach has many attractions and shops right on the pier. They have rides and shops and entertainment. This is the only beach in California that has ride and entertainment on the pier. You will have a fun time going on the rides here, but you have to be careful, not all rides are safe especially when you could be thrown into the deep ocean from 100 feet above.
There will be productions filming at this beach once in awhile because Santa Monica is very close to all the major studios. You will also see some celebrity there vacationing or working. Santa Monica beach is very exciting with all of its attractions and shops. There is also Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant located on the pier; there are also lots of other restaurants on the pier for you to dine.
There will also be artists singing and dancing there for tips. There will also be artists and painters shop waiting to do your pictures. Santa Monica is one of the most exciting beaches in California because of the entertainments and attractions located on the pier.
Next to Santa Monica Beach is the lovely Malibu beach. This is the most recommended beach to visit if you're a local or a tourist because you will be swept away by the beauty and serenity of it. The number one thing I love about Malibu beach is that the water is right next to the Highway and you can stop your car and play with the water for awhile or you can drive up and down the Highway closely to the water; it is the most romantic feelings I've ever had. I drove by Malibu beach once and I sworn to come back again and again. The houses are located on a plateau high above the beach which a great view to look up is or if you're up in the hill to look down. The landscape of the neighbor is magnificent; it is about 100 feet above the beach giving you a lot to look for. Malibu beach is very clean with no homeless. The locals are movie stars and other kinds of celebrities. It is a very upscale neighborhood. You would have a great time here. There are many restaurants and bars for you to enjoy.
