Los Angeles Craigslist Buyer Review

Bought Many Music Items Through Craigslist

maxover4
I have been using craigslist for some time now, and have good experience with the website. I have bought a good amount of music related items using this website, and so far I haven't had problems with it.

So what is craigslist?

Craigslist.org is one of those places on the internet where you can go and purchase used and new items, with ease. It is very similar to ebay.com, in the sense that you have this large online database of products that you can buy from other people. However, it's different in the sense that there are no auctions, and you don't make the purchase through the website directly. Craigslist.com is simply a means to for sellers to advertise their products, and buyers to look for whatever they wish. Think of it as the ad section of any newspaper, but with a really large database updated constantly. You can also sell products, services, and what have you. But for the purposes of this review, I'll be sharing my experiences as a buyer using this great website.

How does it work?

Craigslist is basically divided into areas. Each area is designated by a subdomain, for example: losangeles.craigslist.org, sfbay.craigslist.org, sandiego.craigslist.org, and so on. You can either type these on your web browser, or simply go to www.craigslist.org and find your area on right hand side. The site also serves many other countries.

The site is also divided into 9 main categories, but the one used to buy products is the "For Sale" one, located right in the middle of the main page. Under this category, you will find 31 subcategories for you to choose from. Most likely whatever you are looking for is under one of these.

So, you simply click one of these subcategories, and you have two options. You can either browse the ads that are offered in the page, or you can do a search to maximize the chances of you finding what you are looking for. What I usually do is click on "music instr" and search for whatever I want.

As you browse through the ads, you will notice some people leave their personal email addresses, or phone numbers for you to contact them. However, if they don't, just look at the upper left hand side and you will find an email address, preceded by "Reply to". Just use that email address to email the seller, and make the necessary arrangements for your purchase to be successful.

Lasted Personal Experience.

The latest item I have purchased from craiglist.org was an effect pedal for electric guitar. I simply followed the steps which I have written above, and did a search for "TC Electronics". I searched the ads that were available, and found what I was looking for, so I immediately contacted the seller via the provided email, made the necessary payment and pick-up arrangements, and within 3 days of the first email I had sent him, I had my product in hands.

Is Craigslist for you?

Sometimes you will find people on there that are hard to deal with, but from my personal experience, that has rarely happened. I would really recommend this website to anyone who is looking to purchase any kind of product.

Happy Buying.
