Sandy Koufax is once a again named the series MVP with two victories and a miniscule 0.38 ERA in three games.

1966 vs. Baltimore Orioles. The Dodgers appear in the second straight World Series but are swept in four games. Baltimore pitching completely dominates the series allowing just two runs in the four games. After scoring a run in the third inning of game one the Dodgers due not score another run in the series, a span of 33 innings.

Ron Cey, Pedro Guerrero and Steve Yeager are named co-MVP's of the series. Guerrero and Yeager each hit two home runs in the series including back to back home runs in game five to give the Dodgers a 2 - 1 victory.

1988 vs. Oakland A's. The Dodgers are an unlikely participant in the World Series after upsetting the heavily favored New York Mets in the National League Championship Series.
