Supporting arts and entertainment in your community is always a good idea, and what better way to do it then attending the various film festivals throughout Los Angeles County. Many times film festivals offer you a chance to get a sneak peak of films before their theatrical release. For example, The Kids Are All Right, Precious, and Hustle & Flow, were premiered during the festival circuit. In addition, they highlight various short films from local filmmakers to international filmmakers that you would never see at another venue. Attending a festival screening is the same cost as attending a movie at your local theater. However, at film festivals you can see celebrities and attend workshops. Check out the list of upcoming festivals and visit their site as many offer early bird specials on ticket purchases.
