This is why, I am so amazed that Arco can beat all other gas disrtibutors/retailers in Los Angeles, offering as low as $3.69 per gallon, for their regular gas in most of their outlets within the metropolis, for the last 48 hours.
Commendable indeed! Because, definitely consumers would enjoy the $0.40++ difference they can save from going to other gas retailers and outlets.
Mobil, Chevron, 76 and Shell, are at the average of $4.09 for regular. midgrade is averagely at $4.19, and their premium roughly goes from $4.29 to 4.33.
Exxon at 2052 Calabasas Road, Calabasas, CA 90302 marks to sell the highest; most expensive among all, whose regular is at $4.69, midgrade at $4.87, premium at $4.99, and diesel at $5.39.
Below, are the street addresses of Arco branches that offer retail price of $3.69 for the regular gas, midgrade is between $3.79-3.81, premium is from $3.89-3.93 and $4.19 for the diesel:
1. 4385 Atlantic Ave & San Antonio Drive, Long Beach, CA 90807
2. 10201 Artesia Blvd & Woodruff Avenue, Bellflower, CA 90706
3. Downey & Flower Avenue, Paramount, CA 90723
4. Carmenita & Florence, Paramount, CA 90723
5. Carmenita & Imperial Highway, Whittier, CA 90605
6. 15750 E Leffingwell Rd & Santa Gertrudes Avenue, Whittier, CA 90604
7. 8351 Washington Blvd & Paramount Boluvevard, CA 90660
8. 15306 Whittier Blvd & Scott Avenue, Whittier, CA 90603
9. 7667 E Slauson Ave & Gage Avenue, Commerce, CA 90440
10. 10808 Lakewood Blvd & 5th Street, Downey, CA 90421
Let us hope that all other gas retailers could follow Arco's efforts to lower their prices and ease consumers. After all, crude oil prices ended lower today, despite Gustav threat. And, it's just really fair enough to have a rollback.
As of press time (August 30, 2008), California remain' still on No.3 slot in the list of Most Expensive Gas all over USA, whose average is at 3.935.
