Los Angeles, CA is the entertainment capitol of the world, home to Hollywood stars, and historic movie studios. In order to get the most out of your sightseeing time it is important to plan ahead, highlighting the must do activities on your list. For example, Los Angeles has a variety of theme parks such as Disneyland located in Anaheim, CA; Knotts Berry Farms, located in Buena Park; and Six Flags Magic Mountain, located in Valencia, CA. These theme parks are spread throughout Los Angeles County, and are usually a whole day event.

However, if you want your sightseeing day filled with souvenir shopping and local atmosphere the best method is to purchase an all day Metro pass, and ride the subway throughout the city. The subway runs through North Hollywood, known for its Arts District; Hollywood & Highland, known for the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ripley's Believe it or Not museum, and the Jimmy Kimmel Show; and then ends at the Union station, located in downtown Los Angeles, where the Jewelry District and ample restaurants are located. Besides the stars and glitz, Los Angeles also has many renowned museums such as the Getty Center and the Griffith Observatory both are free to the public.
