Detox diets are more popular than ever and information can currently be found from various magazine covers to the internet. These diets claim to aid in the loss of weight in a short amount of time. There is a major benefit to using a detox diet. Detox diets not only shed weight but help a dieter ease their way back into a healthier lifestyle. Approaching a diet the wrong way can create problems of extra weight gain and failure. Detoxing the body has received backlash but there are advantages of this dieting.

Besides weight loss, many people do not realize a detox diet helps filter out the toxic substances of the body that is acquired through everyday activities as well as their eating habits.
Detoxing rids the body's system of sugars, caffeine, pesticides, and preservatives.

The onset of health problems can occur from bad toxins entering the body. These occurrences can be found in weight gain, lethargy, aches on the body, and water retention.

Actress and singer Beyonce is one of many celebrities that has successfully benefited from a detox diet. The maple syrup diet which consisted of mainly lemon juice, water and cayenne pepper helped her lose 22 pounds in a 14 day period for her role in the move Dream Girls.

With a variety of detox diets available, there is sufficient enough information in fitness and dieting magazines to help those dieters looking for a successful start. Some detox diets may be more extreme than others and caution should be taken while trying one. Further information is available to make the best descision of which is best for you.
