"Lose It!" starts with inputting your starting weight, height, age, and your desired weight loss per week (from 0.5-2lbs a week) and using that information calculates your calorie budget for the day.
From the main "My Day" screen, you can see your calorie budget for the day, and it shows you on a bar visually how many calories you've eaten, how many you've burned, your total net calories and how many more calories you can eat to reach your weight loss goal. You can also view your tally for the week, and it even tracks your nutrients (for those concerned with a balanced diet). You can also "Add Food" or "Add Exercise" from this screen.
The "Add Food" allows you to search the food database, which contains several foods from fast food restaurants, brand name foods and general foods. You can create a recipe by combining different foods and it tallies the calories per serving for you.
The "Log" shows exactly what foods you've eaten, and what exercises you've input for the day.
"Goals" shows your starting weight and how much weight you've lost. You can also record your weight by choosing "Record Today's Weight".
You can even add a passcode so that others using your phone can't see your information.
If you burn more or less calories than the average person, you can reset that information also to match up to your metabolism.
Once you reach your weight loss goal, simply choose to maintain your weight under the "Goals" section.
"Lose It!" is a low-calorie diet made easy. You input your information, and you immediately know where you stand on your daily calorie limit. By following the daily calorie limit, weight loss is clear-cut, and maintaining your goal weight is easy.
"Lose It!" is not a magic wand that will make pounds disappear. It simply does the mathematical calculations to save you time and allows you to focus on your new healthy lifestyle. It promotes a low calorie diet necessary to lose weight, and even helps dieters make better choices by allowing them to analyze their daily nutrient intake.
