I did not diet and I did not change the kinds of foods that I ate. This made losing weight easier. Losing weight can be difficult if you have to change your way of cooking and the kinds of foods that you care about cooking. I first got my mother involved. Having a friend with you along the route is a fabulous way for you to stay on track and giving both of you the incentive to lose weight. You will be less likely to fail with the buddy system.
I noticed that I consumed the most food after supper. So I ate normally all day long, what ever I was eating before I would eat now. This included candy bars, bread, etc. I would make supper my very last meal of the day. I would eat a regular supper with dessert and all. After supper I would not have anything other than water. Plan water and nothing else. I did not count calories, eat protein shakes, take diet supplements or any other fad diet that was out there. I simply quit eating after supper (6:00pm).
My mother and I would walk after supper. We started out walking about a mile which was about 15 minutes or so. We gradually added miles to our day until we found ourselves walking about 1 hour a day. We walked gradual nothing to strenuous. We walked during the week and always took the weekends off. So we would exercise for about 1 hour a day for four days a week.
I started to lose weight immediately. I would weigh myself every other day. It was great seeing that scale drop and worth every bit of the work I was doing. My mother did not change her eating habits; she was just there for me to walk with. She too was actually losing weight, not quite as much as I was but just by adding the exercise into her life helped her.
I know this might not be the magical solution that you was looking for but it really wasn't a lot of work and I did keep off the weight. I have been there and I know that all those get thin quick ads are tempting but you will find they are all gimmicks. This is real and effective, so start today and keep it off forever.
