There are a number of common fall activities that can help you reach your weight loss goals without sacrificing time with your family. Burn calories by doing things you enjoy!

It's a well known concept: burning more calories than you consume will result in weight loss. This can be accomplished by eating less or burning more calories through activity or both. If you wish to maintain your eating habits or find that diet alone doesn't allow you to reach your goals, get involved in the common fall activities described below to burn through calories and start losing weight.

Here's a list of 10 everyday fall activities and the approximate number of calories they burn over a specific period of time for both a 140lb person and a 180lb person. The numbers have been derived using the activity calculator at the Discovery Health web site. A link to the calculator is listed under "resources" on the bottom right of this page if you'd like to calculate the numbers for your particular weight and the time you have spent or plan on spending performing each activity.
