Losing the Baby Weight: Not Possible when You Are Pregnant!

Priscilla - Young Texas Mommy of 3
When I had my twins, I definitely didn't do all that I needed to do to lose the baby weight. But I did make a conscious effort to change my diet. I had gigantic stretch marks from them carrying so low, and I desperately wanted them gone.

After about five months had gone by, I started getting really massive headaches, and could not for the life of me figure out why I wasn't losing the weight! I started walking, pulling the girls around in the wagon, strength training at home, whatever I could do.

Finally I went to the doctor, and I was gaining weight instead of losing. I did not know what was going on. It was ridiculous. I was facing ridicule from my husband, my family. With all the sleep I was losing at night caring for twins, it was turning into a very emotional time for me. They did some blood work and a urine sample, and voila, we have found the issue.

I'm pregnant.

Not only am I pregnant, I'm about sixth month's pregnant. With all the stress of taking care of the preemie twins, and not losing the weight, and coping with my new husband, I had totally neglected myself, and never even realized what was going on with my body. Can you believe it?

How embarrassing.

So of course I immediately went to start getting prenatal care, and when my William was born he was seven pounds nine ounces. Unfortunately because I didn't have a chance to lose the baby weight from the girls, it created stretch marks on top of stretch marks, so now I have a lot more work to do, but I wouldn't give it up for the world!
