At the beginning of every new year, many people's number one resolution includes losing weight. Although some of us are afraid to step foot in a gym, or perhaps pay the expensive membership fees. Most of us feel comfortable doing exercises or planning in the comfort of our own home. The Internet has provided many new weight loss websites and technology has blessed us with gaming devices that allow us to lose weight at home. No longer do we have to drag ourselves into a gym and be embarrassed working out in front of familiar faces or strangers.

One way that we have begun to start our weight loss regimens in our homes is working out to the Wii Fit Plus offered on the Wii gaming system. It measures your BMI, weight and helps you find fitness routines that are best suited for you. The best part about working out to the Wii is that you can do it at home and set it at your own pace. Not only do you have to center your work-out around exercises or Yoga stretches, but you can also include fun games to play that also help you get fit. If you want to speak with other members who using the Wii fit plus or other gaming strategies to lose weight, you can post at the Fit Game Forum (www.fitgameforum.com) to share your experiences with others. Perhaps you might even find a fitness buddy or two who will help motivate you as well. Other Wii games that help you lose weight include "The Biggest Loser" that has been created after the popular hit show featuring Jillian Michaels. Other games include EA Sports Active 2, Just Dance 2, Zumba Fitness and NFL Training Camp. By following along the available workouts and using proper dieting, you can be on your way to a successful weight-loss.

Another new popular gaming system is the Xbox 360 Kinect. Finally gamers will be out of their seats and will be playing their games using their bodies instead of remote controls. The Kinect gaming system will have everybody moving and burning calories. While the system is fairly new, there are already exercise and fitness games being introduced. Some of them include "Your Shape Fitness Evolved," Zumba Fitness," "The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout" and "EA Sports 2.0." With the creation of Kinect, it could also conquer some of the current obesity problems that are popping up in children all over the world as well. Children will be running in place, waving their arms, kicking up their feet and dancing to the music. It's finally the fun and exciting exercise that we all have been waiting for.

For those looking for weight loss motivation online, there are several websites available. With all of the many choices to choose from, it can be quite confusing trying to decide which one works for you. By deciding on what type of weight loss program you are looking for, or if you are just searching for motivation and diet assistance, you can begin to weed out which websites will be the best for you. One free website that is ideal for losing weight is FitDay.com . It offers a free weight-loss diary where you can track your calories, daily food intake and weight-loss goals.
