Losing Weight - Never Give Up

Are you stuck on a roller coaster of dieting and binging? There are so many diets out there dictating what you should and should not eat. There are so many magazines pointing the finger at thinness as though it were a prize doled out to a select few who can manage to follow some specific plan.

The truth is, the person who should be telling you what to do is you, and you alone. Everyone knows which foods are good for you, and which are full of empty calories. Losing weight is no longer rocket science. True, you need to figure out how many calories to put in each day in order not to overload your system. True, you need to figure out what kind of exercise you like to do, because in the end that is the exercise you will keep on doing. However, the most important part about finally getting to the place you would like to be, to a weight you feel comfortable with, to an image in the mirror you can feel good about, is discovering your own desires, and implementing them without any obstacle getting in your way.

Many people want to be thin, but then want the chocolate bars more than they truly want the smaller shape. Is this truly you? Or are you fed up with how you look and how you feel and are longing to find the control you need to keep yourself on track.

Look at yourself in the mirror. Tell yourself you truly can do it, and then, follow through. Be your own best friend. Stop relying on others to tell you when and what and how to eat. Trust your hunger. Eat smaller amounts than you ate yesterday, and already you are on your way. Walk a few more blocks than you walked yesterday, and you are beginning to hasten up your metabolism. When you are plagued with the desire for the sweets or the fats or whatever it is which will sabotage your efforts, ask yourself why you are even considering that option.

My next entry will provide more tips on how you can overcome your own negative actions, to become the person you truly want to be, not only on the outside,,but on the inside too. Look for Never giving up on yourself, my next advice entry.
