Calorie Counting Basics
Through doing a little bit of online searching I have found an amazing website that allows you to keep track of the calories you ate and the calories that you burned. Calorie Count comes with their own search bar and it is easy to add things like food and small exercises like walking or vigorous exercises like weight training. On their website you can actually see how many calories that you have burned versus how many you have ate and you can also customize the website so that you can either lose weight or maintain your current weight.
Keeping track of your calories and the calories burned is a good way to ensure that you are on the right track to losing weight or maintaining your weight. One thing that I must stress to you is that you should use your calories wisely but replacing bad foods with good foods and watch those that are high in cholesterol and saturated fats.
Stop drinking or eating caffeine
The idea behind this is that foods that have caffeine in it are loaded with sugar, high in calories, and overall they are not good for you. My mother and I went on a no-caffeine diet and she lost around twenty pounds. I wanted to maintain my weight by eating healthier foods and replacing those that were bad so I started drinking water in place of pop.
Water can actually help you lose weight
A lot of people eat food when they are actually thirst, this is the way the brain plays tricks on us. The next time that you feel like snacking around, try drinking a cup of water first and see if this is the problem. Drinking water is very good for you and it will also help to flush your body. Drinking water with your meals is also good since it will help to fill you up quicker and help you to digest your food.
Toning your body
Toning your body will help you lose weight and get into shape. It has been recommended by numurous doctors that you should try to lose between half a pound to two pounds a week so that you body can become acustomed to the weight lose and also become more toned. A lot of sagging skin can be caused by the body not being toned and we want to avoid this. These tips will help you to tone your body from head to toe.
Walking with or without weights
Walking is good for you and doctors highly recommend it. If you are not use to walking, you should try it by taking small steps such as parking at the end of the parking lot to go into a store or walking around the block. If you are use to walking then you can add ankle and wrist weights to help tone you more while you are walking.
Toning your body and tightening your abs
Crunches or sit-ups are dreaded by many people but now there is an easy way of doing these. Exercise balls come in handy since they not only keep you from getting down on the floor but they also tighten up your body more since you have to learn how to keep your balance on them. I use an exercise ball to help tone my body and it helps trumendesly.
Toning your body with the family
I love family get togethers and I love spending time with my children. I use family as a way to get into shape and tone my body. Kicking a ball around or playing catch is a great way to tone up your body and lose weight. Playing outside games is great and it doesn't feel like working out so you won't feel frustrated by this like most do with exercising routines. The next time your family decides to go outside go outside with them and play a little.
Toning your body and your arms
You need muscle in your arms to be able to perform different things. The next time a friend needs help moving you should volunteer so that your arms get a workout. There are many things that you could do around the house to tone up your arms such as exercises like pushups or you could do things like loading a waste basket down with clothes before taking it to the laundry room. Carrying groceries in is also a good way to tone up your arms.
Everything around your home should be used as a way to help you lose weight and tone your body. Paying attention to what you shouldn't eat is only the first step; you should pay attention to what you should eat and also on different methods that will help to tone your body.
It makes me sad to think that this world has gotten way out of hand when it comes to obesity and we can make our lives a much better place one person at a time. Losing weight through pills or surgery should be used as a last resort since these often have a lot of risk associated with them.
