I have tried to translate one of my poems from Romanian into English, but I'm afraid that it doesn't sound so well anymore. I'm waiting for your honest opinion. Thank you.
The gates of hell
Open in a station
Waiting for lost passengers,
Blinded by the train.
Those who leave the platform
Looking for a shortcut
Without seeing anything around.
It's a sign somewhere
In their way,
But the giddy end /
Seems too close to them /
To see the crossway
Anymore.

The poem is beautifully done!
I agree with Janet. I am not sure what the original piece looks like, but I think the beauty and the meaning have translated well. I really like the double meaning of crossway in the poem as a point of choice which has passed as well as the idea of them losing their faith. Nicely done.
I think it translates beautifully! Wonderful poem... :-)
I think you did an amazing job!

This is a very deep philosophical poem....those who lose their life, they also lose their near and dear ones....found tbemselves in a desert of unknown agony....very nice work by a nice girl.
