Lost DVD Epilogue of "New Man in Charge" Now Online

The Lost DVD is not due for another 18 days. Yet the Lost DVD epilogue already found its way out, since the Lost DVD epilogue may be the main event of the collection. A 12 minute segment called "The New Man In Charge" has been teased as a revealing followup to the series finale. It proposes to reveal some of what new island leaders Hurley and Ben did after Jack's final sacrifice. Teasers and preview clips for "The New Man In Charge" already came out this week - yet some have posted the entire Lost DVD epilogue on YouTube to go with it.

Access Hollywood released the first minute of the segment days ago, which revealed the reformed Ben Linus closing down a DHARMA warehouse in Guam. The clip hinted that it was the same warehouse where the DHARMA food drops came from, which answered one question, at least. But there were still 11 minutes left to go.

Somehow, the Lost DVD epilogue in it's entirety has gotten online, even though the actual DVD won't come out until August 24. But since Access Hollywood got some footage, and since Entertainment Weekly teased more from the DVD in their latest issue, it seems the segment has already screened for some. As such, some of Lost's famed Internet savvy fans managed to get a hold of it themselves.

Lost spoiler site Dark UFO posted the mini-sode first, although it was briefly removed. But it went back up shortly, leading to it getting leaked on YouTube. With that, fans no longer have to wait until August 24 for the Lost DVD epilogue, and the final bit of secret footage in show history - for the moment.

Now that the extra has leaked, fans can judge whether it actually does reveal anything, or just wraps things up with even more clues. As is befitting Lost, there are more clues than answers, right to the bitter end. However, there are several big mysteries that get tantalizing clues, even if they aren't outright answers.

The Lost DVD epilogue not only gives new clues to the DHARMA food drop, but to the Hydra station, the polar bears, Room 23, pregnancy on the island, and the Season 2 finale's 'Hurley bird' Not only that, a character who many desperately wanted to see again returns, but in a different place than they expected. Through it all, fans get one last chance to see Jorge Garcia and Michael Emerson at work as Hurley and Ben.

Of course, even if the Lost DVD epilogue was more definitive, it might not erase some people's disappointment and anger at the finale. Now that the final chance for more answers has come and gone, they might feel even more outraged that they stayed cryptic. But others are likely already at work deciphering the latest hints, excited at one final chance to develop new theories.

Yet despite the Lost DVD epilogue being leaked already, fans are still set to purchase the Season 6 DVD and the Complete Collection on August 24.
