Lost, now in it's second season, has legions of devoted, web-savvy fans who provide visitors to their Lost-related webages with episodes guides, as well as forums, for first-hand viewer accounts of what happened when, and you know someone's always got an episode on tapeā¦.Check out these Lost-theme websites for episode guides and other ways to keep from getting lost watching Lost!
ABC Website (www.abc.com)
Start here for the official scoop on the show including spoilers and a link to the official Lost store (of course.)
Television Without Pity: Lost (www.televisionwithoutpity.com)
Say what you want about the constant "we know better" snark, but the recaps here are very in-depth. If you missed an episode and want a replay, you can check here for everything from dialogue bits to when the show broke for commercials. It's the next best thing to actually watching the show. And while you're there, you can obviously surf on through to recaps of many of your other favorite shows.
The Unofficial Fansite For The ABC SeriesLost (www.lost-tv.com)
Now, this is a fansite! A well-organized table of contents tells you what Lost items are found here (ha, get it, lost, found..). Visitors can check out "News & Updates" on the front page, a cast list, separate descriptions of the characters, links to recaps, and even transcripts of shows.
Talk about an episode guide, it's gosh darn word by word! There's also a page with downloads, a ton of pictures divided into photo albums, and a message board for fan use. They also have a "fan section" containing your basic fan fiction and art. A really nice site for Lost fans.
Lost-Media (www.lost-media.com)
Another awesome fan-led site, the character descriptions and bios here are detailed, as are the accompanying cast member write-ups to keep you in tune with the vast "who's whom" of the show. Episode recaps come with a side order of available stuff like media clips and a photo gallery with hundreds of pictures. There's also a forum (of course) and tons of other fun stuff for fans to get interactive.
The Losties (www.thelosties.com)
Apparently inspired by other fan sites not being "up to par" this site aims to give fans news and info on the show for free and without a lot of breakdowns. The Losties site contains pictures, a forum, some links and, wait for it: episode transcripts (posted in really small font in a message-board like space). The site itself isn't quite "up to par" with Lost-TV or Lost-Media in content - the picture link takes you to the little used forum (and the writing isn't as great, for example, they refer to Wallpaper as "Wallpapers"). But, it's another site with some episode info.
Lost Talk (www.losttalk.net)
Lost Talk, as the title indicates, is a fan forum for all things Lost. It's a little more professional and organized looking than the Fuselage site, and not as heavily used. Fans can jump into threads discussing the show in general, characters, either of the two seasons, and other topics. You do have to register to get involved. But the best way to get info on what happened on the latest lost is to let a fellow fan, especially the obsessive ones who post nigth and day, to guide you through it.
Billie Doux's Blog (www.billiedoux.com)
Billie reviews Lost for n:zone (www.atnzone.com) giving fans reviews of the pros and cons of each episode in great detail, and not sparing comments on the good and bad of each episode. and adding a great character bio list. Her Lost reviews are posted here on her blogdoesn't, too, along with her reflections and links to other articles she's written about the show including behind the scenes pieces about the Lost dvd release party. Fans of sci-fi/fantasy TV will also enjoy her indepth analysis of other shows including current hits like Battlestar Gallactica and Dead Zone as well as a lot of Buffy info. Billie also runs a Lost listserv.
Flight 815 (http://flight815.blogspot.com/)
This site posts ongoing entries on details of the shows including names, song lyrics, and other minutiae fans like go over. Sections include "Connecting Flights" where strange connections on the show are analyzed, like the different uses of numbers. If you're looking for generally upbeat, happy fan site, this really isn't it. It's got rated R language in the commentary (consider that your parental advisory) and a tough guy, elite viewer tone, but plenty of great details and analysis of what happened when. Very well organized.
