Dentek may be well known for it's Breath Remedy mouthwash but it also has a pretty niffy product for a lost filling problem. Imagine finding yourself in a situation where a filling has become lost and the dentist office is closed due to a holiday or because of the weekend. What's one to do? Head over to the pharmacy and check out DenTek's Maximum Hold Temparin Lost Filling Repair.

Take note this product isn't a permanent solution but rather a temporary solution until a dentist can fix the tooth. This product comes in a small purple flip top plastic bottle with a small plastic spatula. One bottle claims for 8+ repairs and costs just under $3.00 at a local Wal*Mart. It may be more or less depending on where the item is purchased. Temparin is a mixture used by dentists to temporarily repair a lost filling, reattach crowns and inlays when seeing a dentist isn't possible.

One other item needed to temporarily repair the lost filling is cotton swabs. You simply take a small around with the spatula and roll it into a ball between your fingers. Next you gentle apply the product where the lost filling is and a few times clamp down to form into the hole. After you have gentle clamped down to form a mold, remove excess product around the teeth with the cotton swab. It's a good idea to avoid talking, eating or drinking between 2-3 hours.

Once it's dry, it creates a rock hard protective barrier around the cavity. It's not suggested to use this product if there is any swelling, throbbing pain or ulceration. This product overall was a good one, it help protect over the cavity and helps to return to normal eating habits. There wasn't any weird gritty feeling or taste factor. Be sure to see a dentist as soon as possible. You can purchase or check out other products online by Dentek by logging onto: http://www.dentek.com/
