Lost Halloween Costume Ideas

ABC's hit show Lost is coming back to television in early 2009. After four seasons with many deaths and many new cast members, the Oceanic 815 survivors have made a mark in American pop culture. If you are like me and have seen every episode of Lost, then you might want to find some way to be a part of this very successful and creative show. This Halloween, you can be a part of Lost by pretending to be an Oceanic 815 survivor or one of the Others. You can be Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, Ben, or Locke on October 31st. You can stand out from the crowd of vampires, witches, superheroes, princesses, princes, and pirates. You can use your imagination to become your favorite character from the show. Here are some tips to help you with your costume.

You might notice that the Oceanic 815 survivors look pretty clean to be stuck on an island without soap. In real life, people stuck on an island will look like they haven't showered or bathed for days. But since Lost is a television show and your costume is based on the show, then you do not have to go without bathing to be your character on Halloween. So bathe your body and have your hair squeaky clean. Now if your favorite character is Sayid or Michael, do not shave for like two weeks. Grow your beard nice and thick. If your favorite character is Jack or Sawyer, then grow only some stubble. Also grow your hair long if you are going to be Sawyer. If you're going to be Locke, then I suggest shaving all of your hair. If you are going to be any of the female Oceanic 815 survivors, then have your hair nice and long or buy a long wig. Make sure your hair is clean and has no dirt in it.

Everybody on Lost wears clean and good condition clothes. You might see Sawyer or Sayid in a dirty tank top but the rest of the survivors really knows how to take care of their clothes. Occasionally Jack, Kate, Sayid, Sawyer or Locke will go trekking in the jungle and come out with dirt on their clothes. So if you want put smudges of dirt on your clothes and wear boring, dull colors unless your going to be Claire. But if you're going to any of the men, just throw on an old t-shirt and jeans. If you're going to be Kate or Sun, then just throw on a fitted old t-shirt and some cute but old jeans. If you are going to be one of the Others, then wear some old, raggedy, messy, and faded clothes. Roll the clothes around in the dirt and then put them on. Also always carry a plastic toy gun with you if you're going to be one of the Others.

You do not need make-up if you are going to be one of the characters from Lost. But you can put some dirt on your face and your clothes. If you are going to Ben or Locke, try to have a crazy look in your eyes. You can also carry a toy gun as one of your accessories. Or if you're Claire, you can carry around a real or fake baby Aaron.

If you are a Lost fanatic and you want to show everybody how much you love the show. Then dress up as your favorite character on Halloween. You can be anybody you want from the show. You can find everything you need in your house. So you don't have to spend any money creating your unique costume. So get lost and I'll see you on October 31.
