Lost Love

Jaded
I will remember you
The talks we had
Late into the starry night
The giggles we shared
Over silly jokes
The secrets we kept
Although no one would've cared
To know them anyway
Passing a smile across the room
Squeezing hands
I will remember you
Deep into the years
When I become old and gray
My great-great-grandchildren
Will know who you are
No one can replace you
I wouldn't let them if they tried
Even when I remember
Not even my own husband,
I will remember you
