The two hour finally throws the viewer back and forth between the island and the future. (I can not remember where all the future/present events fall in relation with each other, so with the exception of this introduction, all the future scenes will be saved for last.) It starts out with a scene that we already say, the Oceanic Press conference. We also see the same scene where Jack meets with Kate and he tells her that "we need to go back". The scene continues with her driving off and returning only to yell at Jack. Also jack tells Kate that a man named Jeremy Bentham is dead, many references are made to this "new" character; in good Lost fashion we find out who the character is in the last 10 seconds.
Back on the island...
Jon tells Jack one of the most important things that he ever will hear; Jon tells him that if he gets off the island that he must lie to anyone he meets in order to protect everyone still on the island.
On the island, now with Ben...
Ben is captured by Keamy, the evil military guy, and Kate is now also capture. Keamy and his men get ambushed by men that work for Ben and who have allied with Kate and Sayid. Keamy is supposedly killed and Kate and Sayid are allowed to leave the island.
On the "rescue" boat...
Jin, Michael, and Desmond work to unarm the bomb which will be triggered remotely. Michael uses a tank of Nitrous Oxide in hope to freeze the bombs powers source, and gives Desmond time to disarm it.
On the island, now with Jon and Ben...
Ben figures that Keamy is not dead so he waits for him to come, and he does. Keamy does not see Jon or Ben, but he tells them that strapped to him is a heart rate monitor, if his heart stops it ill send a signal that will detonate the C-4 on the ship. Ben has a grudge against Keamy because he killed Bens daughter, out of anger he kills Keamy. Being Lost, we do not go back to the ship for a few more minutes.
On the helicopter...
Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley and Sayid get of off the island and head for the boat, but there is a problem. The helicopter is loosing fuel fast; anything that is not bolted down is thrown out. That is not enough; Sawyer, acting selflessly, jumps out and attempts to swim to the island.
On the boat...
The red trigger light on the bomb goes off, but it does not explode because the Nitrous Oxide temporarily freezes the boom. Michael tells them to evacuate the boat. The helicopter returns but they are told of the problem, so after a very quick refuel they take off. The islanders on the helicopter not are Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Desmond, Sun, and Aaron; Jin, Michael, and the others die in a less then convincing explosion.
On the island...
Sawyer makes it back to the island and sees Juliet drunk, and for the first time he sees the smoke from the explosion.
On the island, with Jon and Ben...
Ben is preparing to move the island. He tells Jon that he can not come with, and that Jon must take care of the island. Also Ben tells Jon that the one who moves the island can never come back. He puts Jon in charge of his people, those who inhabited the island before Oceanic 815 crashed. Once Jon leaves, Ben enters a hidden room and moves the island. Everyone sees a bright white light. Jon finds the people Ben was talking about and they accept Jon as their leader. This is where the story on the island ends.
On the helicopter...
As the group is heading for they too see the bright light, and magically the island disappears. The helicopter runs out of fuel and they crash; amazingly all of they live. They stay on a lift raft from the helicopter until they see a ship heading towards them. At this point Jack tells them that they must all lie about the island in order to protect those who did not get off, just like Jon said. When the ship arrives, Desmond realizes that it is Penny, his love. Penny and her crew are presumably informed about their state, so Jack, Kate, Aaron, Sayid, Sun and Hurly (or the Oceanic 6) are sent of the boat and head out to an island where they will be finally rescued. Desmond and the pilot stay on the ship. The Oceanic 6 arrive on the island and their part of the story ends their.
The Future Segments
Hurley...
Hurley is visited by Walt, Michael's son for the first time. Walt mentions the death of Jeremy Bentham to Hurley.
Sun...
She talks to Mr. Widmore and tells him that they have "common interests". She gives him a calling card and tells him to call her.
Sayid...
Sayid goes to the place that Hurley is staying; he kills a man outside the building, presumable the man was a future threat. He enters the building and tells Hurley that they need the got to a "safe place". Mention of Jeremy Bentham is made again.
Jack...
Jack breaks into the funeral home Jeremy Bentham is in. As he opens the casket, Ben comes in. (Note that this is the first time we see Ben off of the island) He tells Jack, ho has been trying to get back to the island, that in order to get back all of the Oceanic 6 must go back. With ten seconds let to spare the camera focuses on the body in the casket. (Spoiler) TO FIND OUT WHO THE MAN IS READ EVERY OTHER LETTER STARTING WITH THE SECOND (Spoiler)
