I'm just trying to figure out why these people would want to kill the innocent people that they are supposed to be saving, but that's sure what the writers of the show are making it sound like! First of all, there is Daniel, who was the first new character introduced. They show him watching a TV report that they found the airplane and were confirming that everyone was dead. He was, for some reason, very upset by it, and then they show him in a helicopter and he gets pushed out because they are going to crash. He lands and Jack and Kate find him. Then he gets caught in a lie and is being secretive.
Then they introduce Miles, who seems to be an exorcist or something. He is another member of the crew who was on the helicopter. He holds a gun at Jack and Kate, thinking that they killed Naomi. They take him to the body and he somehow knows that they didn't kill her.
Another member of the crew on the helicopter was Charlotte, who lands upside down hanging from a tree branch and has to cut herself down. She then gets met by John Locke and the survivors that decided to go with him. They are obviously very cautious with her and pretty blunt about not trusting her.
Lastly, they introduce Frank, who was supposed to be flying the 815 plane that crashed. He is the pilot of the helicopter that went down, but he was able to get it down safely onto the island, so the helicopter is still flyable.
In this episode, we find out that these people are here to find Ben, not to rescue the survivors of the crash, as they originally said. Ben tries to shoot Charlotte, but she has a bullet-proof vest on.
All in all, I think the new season of Lost will be a good one. I hope they start getting people off that island though or explaining why they are not getting off the island, because it's starting to get a little bit ridiculous how there is always something that keeps them there. I hope everyone else enjoyed this new episode as much as I did!
