Lost Stars! What Ever Happened To...

Stars from Way Back When - Part 2

Ashley Allgood
I had a lot of fun researching and writing my first piece of Lost Stars so I decided to write another one.

I have located 5 more Lost Stars so I guess I can't call them Lost anymore.

1. Bridgette Andersen - Such a sweet and adorable little girl. Bridgette Andersen came onto the screen smiling and making my sister and I cry like babies! She starred in the wonderful 1982 movie Savannah Smiles. I can't remember how many times my sister and I sat in front the TV crying at the end of that movie. We also loved her in Parent Trap II. But after that she seemed to disappear.

I had forgotten about her till a few weeks ago when I was watching on old Golden Girls rerun. Bridgette Andersen played the granddaughter of Rose. She was as cute as I remembered her. I quickly got on the internet, surfed over to my favorite movie website - Internet Movie Database. I typed in her name in the search box. I was crushed when I saw - date of death 1997.

It turns out Bridgette Andersen is another fallen child star. As a teenager, she became involved with drugs especially heroin. She died in May 18, 1997 after an accidental overdose of alcohol and drugs.

But I won't remember her as a fallen child star. I remember has a cute laughing little girl on Savannah Smiles & I hope you will to. You can view her on Youtube. She is in the "Faerie Tale Theatre's Hansel and Gretel" with another child star Ricky Schroder. She plays an adorable Gretel.

2. Michael Stoyanov -I remember him as Anthony Russo, the big brother to Blossom. I was sad to see him leave the show. He regrets leaving Blossom to write for Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

He's been on other shows since Blossom. You may have seen him in the movie Restaurant in 1998 playing Ethan. He was also in the movie Girls will be Girls as Mike Stoyanov. He's been in a number of TV shows although he just appears in a few episodes. You may have seen him in Safe Harbor, Prison Break and Lovespring International.

He has also written for a number of shows. He has written for Mad TV, The Dana Carvey Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Mr. Show and the Incredible, Fantastical News Report.

3. Jason Hervey - He played the brother we all loved to hate on the Wonder Years. A lot of us knew or had a brother like him with his never ending hitting and name calling. He played Wayne so well I was shocked to learn that he was nothing like Wayne in fact he had an older brother like the guy he played!

After Wonder Years ended he was in a few episodes of different TV shows like Baywatch Nights, The Love boat: The Next Wave & Justice League. Jason Hervey starred in 100 Deeds of Eddie McDowd which ran from 2001-2002.

He married a former adult film star named Angel Hart. He became the father of twins in 2000. Back in 2002 he was Senior Vice President of Media and Communications at HealthSouth Corp. in Birmingham, Alabama. Then in 2003 he was partners with Eric Bischoff in Bischoff Hervey Entertainment, which specializes in content creation and production for various broadcast outlets, licensing and merchandising and innovative brand integration solutions.

4. Josh Saviano - sticking with the Wonder Years you will remember Josh Saviano as Paul. He played Kevin's best friend Paul on the show.

After Wonder Years he wasn't seen on the screen again. He went on to graduate Yale with a degree in political science. Back in 2004 it was said that he was an associate at a New York City law firm, Morrison, Cohen, Singer & Weinstein.

Internet rumors consistently assert that he grew up to be shock-rocker Marilyn Manson. This is untrue.

5. Brian Bonsall - the cute little brother Andy from Family Ties. He was also in the movie Blank Check. He showed up in a few episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation as Alexander Rozhenko. Plus in 1994 he was in two TV movies Father and Scout and Lily in Winter. But after 1994 he vanished from the screen.

He turned 18 in 1999 and it is said he got an arm band tattoo for birthday. He went to military school for year in Missouri. It was stated that in December 2006 he lived in Colorado. He has no interested in acting again and says that music is his passion. He has been in two bands but they both have broken up. You may have heard in 2004 he got a DUI. He was 23 at the time. That wasn't his first DUI he was previously convicted on a DUI charge in 2001. He was arrested on domestic violence charges after allegedly pouring alcohol on his girlfriend and putting her in a chokehold. Andy's grown up it seems.
