History
The Celtic Empire was built by land conquered through warfare, and it covered most of western Europe. Their domination was short lived, compared to other empires, but it was powerful. The first instances of the Celts was around 500 B.C. and the height of their power was said to be around 600 B.C.
Laws/Rules
The laws, rules and social agreements seem to have been lost with time. There is very little evidence showing that they had any laws. One law that has lasted through time is that in the Celtic Empire, if you were to kill a man, rather than being killed yourself, you were able to pay a hefty sum to the deceased family. This includes distant relatives as well. The sum of the fine is dependent upon the position the deceased had in the society. Also, quite surprisingly, women had some status as well. They were able to divorce their spouse, if he did not "perform well".
Structure
There was little structure in the Celtic Empire. Most people traveled within tribes. These tribes then sometime had a very loose federation, and a few had Kings. The tribes would band together for warfare, and other things as well.
Their were three main roles in the Celtic Empire:
1. Warrior - A warrior was considered to be the best type of person in the Celtic Empire, and was held above all other positions, after all it was these men and women, that went to battle to conquer land.
2. Druid - These people were second in their system. A druid is similar to a priest. A druid would also act as a healer, scholar, and many other things as well, which is why they were second in power.
3. Everyone Else - This was the working class of the empire basically. It was everyone else that didn't fit into one of the above positions, such as farmers and other people of the like. This was the biggest group of people in this culture.
Unlike many societies, woman were allowed to be in the government of the Celtic Empire. They were allowed to hold high positions, and they were also able to participate in warfare and kinship, although they rarely did near the end of the empires ruling.
