LostCherry.com Becomes CherryTAP.com

The Big Cherry Gets Overhauled

Katie Just

LostCherry.com has gone to great lengths to maintain and update their social networking site recently. With the new look also came a new name. LostCherry.com has updated and upgraded to CherryTAP.com. The site face lift is easier to maneuver, and has more features that are slowly being added to the mix.

The new layout has been coming together for quite some time. Small tweaks here and there have led to a layout that is easier to view, because there aren't as many different colors against the black background, and links are more organized. There have been a few bumps in the road, but nothing that caused a lot of downtime. Most of the downtime has been attributed to electrical problems, not the actual work of fine tuning CherryTAP.

MUMMs are one of the newest additions to the CherryTAP site. Added when it was still LostCherry, these Make Up My Mind postings allow members to post a dilemma and seek the advice of other members. These MUMMs can be any topic, and range from relationship dilemmas to fashion advice. MUMMs allow members to be interactive and help someone at a crossroads at the same time.

Cherry Stashes were also added pre-name change, and allow members of the site to view videos, music, jokes, and more without having to download them to their own page, or search the internet for them. Cherry stashes are viewable by all members of CherryTAP, and in the future CherryTAP will be giving awards for the best stashes site-wide. All the more reason to upload and share your amusing internet findings.

During the overhauling of CherryTAP, members' pages were not affected. No one lost friends lists, page customizing, blogs, or photos. Numbers of members are still growing with 361,830 members as of this date. Clearly, the upgrading hasn't deterred anyone. CherryTAP may not be able to tout numbers of 150,000 new members per day, like the larger online networking sites, but numbers don't account for much when the larger sites seem to be much slower and no real interaction other than comments and bulletins.

While interacting with people is a great way to make new friends and share ideas or common interests, it's also a great way to promote yourself if you own your own business or are a freelance writer. Bulletins also play a big part in self-promotion. While you may only have a handful of people on your own friends list, some of your friends may have over 1,000 or more friends on their list. By simply writing and posting a bulletin with links to your work, it can then be reposted by others, thus giving you added traffic you wouldn't otherwise receive.

The beauty in CherryTAP.com is that people are not stagnant. Profiles get more views on CherryTAP than most of the other social networking sites. Members can chat back and forth using the shoutbox or in the lounges. There's no need to limit conversation to just comments or bulletins.

CherryTAP is still young and in its infancy, but is taking great strides to become a leader in online social networking sites.

So why are they advocating rippiing off other peoples photos? Are their users really not photogenic?

The word "Cherry" being in ANY internet titles will cause 10,000 porn links to surface in a search. Even if there was something porographic about it, it's clearly stated on the same page as the registration no kids. Not that they don't find their way on anyway. They also view porn, too. People need not kid themselves about that. I agree with and understand your points LC Man, and thanks for reading and commenting.
