Louisville Karaoke is fun, and there are plenty of places to enjoy it. Below are the best places to enjoy a few drinks and bellowing out your favorite tunes. Whether you are a Louisville native or visiting, these are the places to check out if you want to sing karaoke in Louisville.

Dutch's Tavern

Located at 3922 Shelbyville Road, Dutch's Tavern offers low drink prices and karaoke with Mendy on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. Every one has a blast and seems to sing and act like a rock star, and by the end of the night many patrons approach the small stage for dancing. It is the wild side of Louisville Karaoke. The sound system could be a bit better. However, this is one of the most entertaining karaoke nights in town. Phone number (502) 895-9004.

Maier's-The Saint Matthew's Tavern

Sitting at 3921 Shelbyville Road, Maier's offers a great computerized karaoke and has one of the best sound systems found in Louisville Karaoke. Their selection includes over 80,000 titles, and drink prices are low. Lyrics are on a huge screen and also on a television. Karaoke with Turner is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. Phone number (502) 897-6386

Toot's Bar and Grille

Toot's is a small bar and grill located at 3283 Taylor Blvd and offers karaoke with Chris on Friday and Saturdays from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. Song rotation is quick, sound system is good, computerized selection offers over 26,000 songs, prices on drinks are low, and they also offer a wide screen television, pool table and darts. Toot's offers a very friendly atmosphere, and if you own a motor cycle, you should feel at home. They are known for having a row of motorcycles parked out front. Phone number (502) 366-7667

Creeker's

Located at the end of a shopping strip behind Moby Dick's at 6330 Bardstown road, Creeker's adds a vibrant and fun side to Louisville Karaoke. They offer Karaoke seven days a week, but on Fridays and Saturdays there is also a DJ spinning music for dancers in another room. They also have 7 pool tables, darts and televisions. Their sound system is good, but their selection (although large) seems to be mostly country. There is no pop music. Regardless of a limited selection, people always have fun there and return. During the week, there is a variety of ages there, but it seems to be a comfortable place for older singers. Their drink and food prices are low, and the people are very friendly! Song rotation is quick even when they are busy. Phone number (502) 762-0370

Akiko's Karaoke Bar

Akiko's is located at 1123 Bardstown Road and is the only traditional Louisville Karaoke Bar. It offers a small dance floor in front of the stage, but it is not a full bar. They serve Saki, beer, soda and water. The karaoke is run by Kip Tuesday through Saturday and runs until 3 a.m. It is best to visit Akiko's during the week if you like to sing as they are very busy on the weekends and you may only be able to get one or two songs in. Phone number (502) 459-8020

All of the establishments listed for Louisville karaoke admit ages 21 and older.

Marco Polo goes to 2 different places to karaoke. One is Crazy Dave's Pizza on Goldsmith Lane near the Bon Aire Library. Crazy Dave's has karaoke on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. The music is mostly Rock with some dance hits mixed in and the peeps are cool, its my new home. Another joint that's been updated is Jocks at the corner of Breckenridge and Six Mile Lane. Jocks has karaoke on Friday and Saturday night with dance music mixed. Depending on the number of singers the DJ's may play more dance mix in Jocks. Remember its not how good you are, but how fun you are. Marcooo Polooo
