Love

Love stood before the beginning of time thinking of you, thinking of me. He hand crafted every star; His only thought on pleasing us. Eagerly, He painted the sky with magnificent colors He knew would bring us delight. He filled the sea with creatures that would bring wonder to our eyes. Painstakingly, He created this world thinking only of the beloved children He had yet to bring into being.

Love watched over our birth with tears of joy in His eyes. As we began our long journey through life He stood patiently in the shadows waiting for us to let Him in. He rejoiced in His heart when we finally told Him "yes". He held our hand as we struggled through trials, directing us at every turn. He stepped in front of us when the enemy came to attack, and He stepped behind us when it came time for us to believe. He gave His angels charge over us as we tramped through deserts, and He bade them carry us to His paradise when our time on earth came to an end.

Love stands in the beauty of His glory at worlds end yearning to see us walk through His gates. A host of angels are positioned at the opening of paradise, ready to sing upon our arrival. All of heaven waits with bated breath for our entrance into the city of the Most High. Patiently, He waits at the end of time as He did in the beginning, His heart beating frantically with want for His most cherished belonging. There He stands with arms outstretched and He runs toward us when we arrive. He throws His arms around us and all that He is fills our spirit. For this day He has waited and no greater joy could possibly exist.

Love stands at the end of time doing as He has since before our existence; He stands....loving you, loving me.
