as i walked
the shoreline
i saw glistening
below the surface
i reached in an
drew out
warm and wet
a shard of the
shattered box
as realization
took my breath
i felt a pain
in my breast
felt a point
i reached in and
drew out
warm and wet
the same shard,
i held them up
the sun shone sheer
one shard blue
one blue smeared red
and as the sunglint
passed through
the latter
i felt a purple tear
pass my cyclic
tri-tone gaze
