Love Bubbles

A Poem for Dads to Give to Their Kids

Mike Bauman
Bubbles of love,
the way that they start
is when a daddy looks down
at a little piece of his heart.

I tiny new person,
a cute fuzzy head,
little round eyes,
and cheeks pink and red.

And the love that he feels
his heart can't hold in
so it spills out and surrounds
his tiny new kin.

And that love forms a bubble
that's stronger than stone
and softer than silk
and never alone.

From here to heaven,
from sea to sea,
that love will surround
and protect his baby.

So when I'm not there
and you're alone or you're sad
remember you're surrounded
by the love of your dad.
