Do they love them, as they are loved
Or love the control they have?
Making the raised voice a familiar tone
Every touch and kiss a lie, though,
Something keeps the victim clinging on.
The bogus image in the public eye
Is enough to make you gag as they
Camouflage all types of abuse.
Victims only have one eye open
Ignorant of loved ones looking in with two.
Only victims can end this cycle
Love should not hurt this way.
Each day's chance to escape slips by
No money, no skills, babies to raise, or,
Could the victim be afraid for their life?
End it right now, get your life back!
