Love your enemy,
Forgive him too!
For he is fighting a battle,
Just like you.
The battle of life,
Which is seldom fair.
makes one bitter,
And forgiveness rare.
It is easy to avenge,
Still easier to hate.
But it takes real courage,
To forgive not to berate.
But if he can do,
You can too.
For he is fighting,
A battle just like you!!!

Post a CommentI love the rhyme and meaning. Hate is an easy weapon to use against one so bitter, but are we any different than them, if we refuse to forgive?

Great poem. I wrote an article on this same topic.
Knowing how to forgive and how to put yourself in someone else's shoes makes all the difference. Then there are no enemies, just understanding. I love the inspiring words in this poem. :)
