Love Your Parents, Do You? - a Poem

samaira
"When I see them crying,
I feel hurt,
For all their sacrifices, what we as children has given tears.

I try to keep them as much happy as I can,
But,
That past I am not able to return.

What they expected from us, when we were born,
And, what they got now, when we have grown.

We can only understand these feelings when our kids will grow,
But then, then there will no time left, in the past to go.

We fail to come up to their expectations,
Rather than paying back their sacrifices, we give them so many tensions.

Now that, they have become so old,
They need someone to hold.

They look in all directions, and loose heart,
And thinking about their children, they are really hurt.

But we as children are not able to see,
What they have done for us from the start,
I pray to lord,
Keep them so happy,
That have nothing left to regret."
