Love Poem

David Gilbert
With a gaze into her eyes.
The fire starts to burn in me.
Hugging while paralyzed.
Hope this love is for Eternity.

It is our very first date.
We are also kind of new to this.
I want to taste her lips.
The truth is it takes two to kiss.

Off to the movies smiling
while we took a seat.
My heart beats hard ,
then she turns to look at me.

Next her eyes closed the room
was dark my eyes closed to.
When i opened my eyes
guess what i was exposed to.

A heart, some candy, then
her lips on mine.
she looked at me smiling
and said Happy Valentine

I ran out the room
in a sight that was sad to see.
When she came out there i was
layin down for some one to carry me.
she reached out her hand, i got on
one knee and asked for her to Marry me

Do I hear wedding bells ringing? Very sweet.

Sweetly and lyrically crafted. Well done!
