So far across the sky

In dream I soar so high

To see how far my eye

Can scan to spot a lie

But then I saw you fly

Such a lovely guy

Who sings sweet lullaby

Circling me by and by

I stayed still with a sigh

And ask myself Oh why

And lament a gentle cry

Girl I am tough but shy

To know that you might spy

I wear things with a dye

But then I saw you fly

Such ordinary guy

Who ends your lullaby

And bid a sweet goodbye

I dreamed and soared so high

And saw it in my eye

So near I spot the lie...
