Love and Romance - It's Hot This Summer and Every Summer

Jennifer Ledbetter
When I think of what is hot during the summertime, my mind always goes straight to love and romance. There is nothing better than a new summertime romance. As they sing about in "Grease", those summer nights make memories that last a lifetime. However, what if you and your spouse are not a "new" romance, but are more of an established and comfortable one? Does this mean that summertime romance is no longer an option for you? Absolutely not! I scoured through the pages of Associated Content and picked what I thought were some of the best articles to help you keep the romance in your relationship - not just for the summer, but all year long!

In A Bedroom For Romance,K.Ray goes into great detail of neat decorating ideas to make you bedroom more conducive for love. "You can turn your bedroom into a haven for love and romance" just by reading this article.

The Romance of Chocolate- Chocolate is Sexy is a personal favorite of mine. Perhaps because chocolate is a personal favorite of mine! Give me chocolate and I can be a most agreeable person! Christine Brude writes, "Chocolate and Romance Go Together like Valentines and Sweethearts" and I couldn't agree more!

Tammy Evans writes in her article, The Key to Romance is Time Together," It's never too late to rekindle love and romance in a stale long-term relationship. Start from where you are, and begin doing things together that emphasize and celebrate your relationship as a couple." And I believe Ms Evans is right on the money. Enjoying quality time together can put the spark in any life-less relationship.

Mama always said that the key to man's heart is through his stomach. In Food and Sex: Edible Aphrodesiacs,Roxanne Rhoades expands on just what mama told me. Ms Rhoades says, "A carefully prepared dinner may be capable of working magic especially if you set the table with love and romance in mind." I love her article and I read it often to help myself remember that turning on the microwave for our instant mean is probably the only thing I am "turning on".

Got kids? Children are a blessing, no doubt, but can put a damper on the love and romance in your relationship. In Rekindling the Romance", author Silent Thinker says, "We went from drinking wine to sipping on the latest flavor of Capri Sun or Koo-laid Splashers. This is what became our life." I don't think there is a couple with children out there that can't relate completely to that statement. You'll enjoy Silent Thinkers honest and fun article.

A great "Top 10 List" is A. Green's Ten Tips on How to Keep the Romance Alive in Your Relationship, the author states, "While it's important for couples to be able to last beyond the "romantic period" this doesn't mean that the romance has to die." Green lists ten great ideas to keep it all fresh in your relationship (my husband was all in favor of #2!)

Content Producer, Tori, has a great article titled Relationships: 6 Fun & Sexy Romance Ideas. I love the authors idea for "Husband/Wife Appreciation Night" and plan to implement that "holiday" in my household very soon!

And as a special "refresher" article for all the men out there, Allen Shaw has written Twenty Ways to Romance a Woman. Now you guys must have been good at this at one point, don't slack off now! This article is aimed at the some-what "younger" generation, but is a fun read and a gentle reminder of all the things we forget to do now.

I imagine there are many more great articles on love and romance within the pages of Associated Content. If I missed yours, please feel free to let me know! Now go make some memories this summer!
