Love is Thicker Than Blood

Even the Evil Must Love

Kylyssa Shay
Electric palm trees line the streets
And hookers stalk outside their glow
Where winos beg for special treats
And junkies suck up candy snow.
Hard-soled shoes click on the concrete,
Steps along the stagnant sidewalk.
I hear high heels, a woman's feet.
I strike swiftly like a diving hawk
So quietly closing in.
A slash, a smash, a falling groan.
Soft silk stockings on perfumed skin.
I suck, and lick, and softly moan.
Blood bubbles up from an ivory throat.
I see a timepiece on her cold white wrist.
I gently stroke her soft fur coat.
Giving her neck a final twist
(Almost daylight, I should be gone!)
I take a souvenir of precious life
And leave to race the coming dawn.
I shower and wake my lovely wife.
I see the sparkle in her eyes
As I put it on her arm.
"Oh, what a pretty watch!" she cries
As I hold her safe from harm.
