Loving, relieved embrace
On the prodigal return
Patient, loving response
To the other son's scorn
On the prodigal return
Patient, loving response
To the other son's scorn
Staying by, holding their hand
Watching their spouse slowly die
Waiting, helplessly watching
Tiny baby in a box, still alive
Content with family
The house has burned
Still giving to others
When less is earned
Reaching out to others
Suffering the same disease
Taking the road less traveled
Despite those that tease
Peter, do you love me
After three times denying
Father, forgive them
Hanging there, dying
